  [S674] Washington News, (Utah Digital Newspapers) (Reliability: 3), 14 Sep 1911. Petty-Cottam Married, in the St. George Temple, Monday, Sept. 11th, Mr. Frank Petty and Miss Bertha Cottam. The bride is a daugher of Mr. and Mrs. George T. Cottam of this city, an amiable young lady who is highly esteemed by all who know her. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Petty of Rockville and bears a most excellent reputation. A reception was given at the home of the bride's parents Monday eveing which was attended by a large number of friends of the young couple. The spacious lawn was electrically lighted and the evening passed very pleasantly with songs, music, recitations, etc, in the course of which delicious refreshments were served. The young couple start married life under most favorable auspices with the hearty wishes of their many friends for happiness.
