Bibb County, Indenture made 3rd day of May, 1866
Mary W. Towns of said County, executrix, of the last will and testament of
George W. Towns, late of said county, deceased and BENJAMIN F. NEWSOME and
George W. NEWSOME.
Said Mary Towns in pursuant of said will and in consideration of $1150 paid
before sealing conveyed to Newsomes in fee simple, tract of land in 1st
District, originally Muscogee now Taylor, containing 200 1/2 acres, known as
Towns water, same being lot No 255, whereon said Mill is situated, except 70
acres which said Towns, the testator in his lift time, conveyed to William
Childree then of Macon County and also all of lot No 256 except 133 acres owned
by John N. Sputine ?? of Macon County.

Witness: D.W. Miller and E.F. DeGrafenried.
Recorded July 26th, 1866
Military Servic:
- Called the "Ivey Guards"
Newsome, Freeman- private February 22, 1862. On furlough
October 31,1864. Captured at Macon, Ga. April 20,1865.
Newsome, James J.- private February 22, 1862. Surrendered,
Appomattox, Va. April 9, 1865.
