    • Obituary: CHARLES R. PARKER

      Charles R. Parker, 67, of 140 Moss Drive, Columbus, died Monday at his home.
      The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, with burial in Parkhill Cemetery.
      Mr. Parker was born Feb. 24, 1923, in Hartford, Ala., Son of Alsie Mae Parker of Columbus and Raymond Parker. He lived in Columbus all his life, was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, retiring from civil service as a management Analyst. He was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.
      Survivors, other than his mother, include his wife, Frances Ann; three daughters, Pamela S. Horne of Columbus, Betsy Parker of Phenix City and Linda Beyer of South Weymouth, Mass.: a son Charles R. Parker II of Lumpkin, Ga.; and eight grandchildren.
