      Funeral services were held in the Relief Society hall at Gunnison Tuesday afternonn for George Petty, 52 who died at the family home in that city after an illness of three years, caused from poisoning while in the employ of the Gunnison Sugar company. Mr. Petty had been confined to his bed for two months.
      Mr. Petty was born July 5, 1875, at Sterling. He married Zina Williams of Emery, October 11, 1899 and resided in that city for nineteen years. Eight years ago he moved to Gunnison where he has since resided. He is survived by his widow and the following children: Leland Rulon and Lloyd all of Gunnison, Mrs. Dorthea Broadbent of Price; sisters: Armeda Hanberg and Mrs Alta Hill of Latuda, Geniel, Mona, Eunice, Vera and Madge Petty, all of Gunnison. Two sisters, Mrs. Mary Olsen of Emery and Mrs. Ben Thompson of Idaho and two brothers, Heber C. Petty of Hinckley, and Alex Petty of Idaho, also survive.
