I often go out to shoot with a very specific idea about the images I want to shoot. I will still shoot whatever happens to catch my eye, but when I sit down to review the photos afterward I still have that vision in my head of what I was trying to get. Because of that good shots often get overlooked in favor of the shots that are closer to what I was after. This is one such example. When I made the trip to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens I was chasing colors. The light was great in the Orchid house, so I shot plenty of the flowers in there, but didn't give them a second glance the first few times I reviewed the shots. Now, a few weeks removed from the shoot and having shown some success in what I was actually trying to achieve, I go back looking for the things I might have missed and this one jumps right out at me.
