Agnes Newsome McClure Vance Memorial Chapel Mrs. Agnes McClure, 77, of 3100 Kent Drive, Phenix City, died Thursday, January 4, 1996 at her home. A graveside service was held Jaunary 6, 1996 at 11:00AM EST in Newsome Cemetery, Phenix City, according to Vance Memorial Chapel. Mrs. McClure was born to Rosa Lavada Statham and Joseph Fletcher Newsome on November 29, 1918 in Phenix City. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Phenix City. Survivors include four daughters; Peggy McClure, V. Patricia Smith, and A. Diann Cannon, all of Phenix City, and Doris A. Taft of Waverly Hall, Georgia; five sons, D.A. McClure, Jr. of Waco, Georgia, Charles L. McClure of Bristol, CT., Kenneth E. McClure of Phenix City, Joseph O. (Red) McClure of Seale, Alabama, and W. Dennis McClure of McDonough, Georgia; three sisters, Wilma L. Whidden of Columbus,Georgia, Zera A.
