      EMER JAY HAMBLIN

      Emer Jay Hamblin, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away June 29, 1994, at age 76, in St. George, Utah.

      He was born December 31, 1917 in Algadon, Arizona, to John Dudley Hamblin and Emma Celestia Willden.

      He was the 5th child and 2nd son. He was a High Priest and member of the LDS Church. He worked throughout the western states as a meat packer, miner, carpenter and building supervisor. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, two brothers, a daughter, son and one grandchild.

      He is survived by his wife, Helen Slack Hamblin, of Cedar City, Utah; three daughters, Connie, of Magna, Utah; Julie, of Cedar City; Amelia, of Salt Lake; two sons, E. Jay, of Magna, Utah; R. James, of Waco, Texas; 28 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Velda Riding, Ava Tolbert, both of Hinckley; brother, Paul Hamblin, of Clearfield. He will be sorely missed.

      Services 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, Redwood Memorial Estates, Salt Lake City, where friends may call one hour prior to services.
