      GEORGE WEBB PASSES AWAY.

      Paradise, Cache County, Aug. 16--
      Another veteran has been called hence. George Webb died August 14, 1906 of general debility of old age. Deceased was born in Warden, Bedfordshire, England, joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1852; married Eliza Thompson October 27, 1853 and came to Utah in 1863, crossing the plaines in Daniel McCarty's company. They resided at American Fork one year, afterward resided in Certerville for eleven years, then removed to Paradise in 1867. He buried his wife Eliza in 1882. Moved to American Fork and married Elizabeth Baker. They lived happily together a few years and she died. He moved back to Paradise in 1893, and soon afterward he married Charity Porcher Mikesell, who survives him. Deceased was the father of eight children, one only, Mrs. D. J. James, surviving him. He leaves also a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren to mourn his demise. Impressive services were held in the meeting house, where a large congregation met to pay their respects. The speakers testified of his worth, and it was truthfuly said that George Webb was honest, industrious, thrifty, careful and generous.
