"Hank" Posey, 50, of Columbus, GA, died Monday, July 8, 2002,at his home (of a heart attack) Funeral services will be held 2:00pm today, July 11, 2002,Striffler-hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel, with Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating. Pall bearers will be Rick Hutchison, Johnny O'Neal,Grady Rose, Carl Kirkland, Roby Davenport, Willard Allred and Mike Alberson. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. Mr. Posey was born April 30, 1952 in Columbus, Georgia, the son of Dewey L. and Violet Hodge Posey of Columbus. He lived in Columbus all of his life and was a member of Hilton Terrace Baptist Church. Mr. Posey was a 1970 graduate of Jordan High School. He has worked with Blue Cross Blue Shield for 30 years. Survivors other than his parents include his wife, Jackie Posey; adaughter, Melissa Leigh Posey, both of Columbus; one brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Dee Posey of Chapin, SC; a sister and brother-inlaw, Lynne and Gene Austin of Harris County, GA; an uncle,Kenneth Posey; two aunts, Barbara Mustacchio of Chicago and Sally Posey; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn Bassingthwaighte, Sue Brinke and Julie Massey; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
